Suprised!

So I put a little poll on the right that asked if you were happy with your current weight. So far, we have 7 responses, all of which are "No"!

I'm surprised that so far it is 100% "No". I had figured sure, maybe quite a few of you were unhappy, but not really 100%!

So I'm starting my quest, those of you that are unhappy, what are YOU doing to improve your weight? I'm interested because I need some inspiration on things that I can do.

What am I trying to do? Eat healthier - just don't have the stuff in the house that I know isn't good.

Also, as far as the being unhappy with self kind of thing... whenever I have one of those "Ugh" thoughts, I immediately tell myself that's stupid, whether I believe myself or not. There's too much negative thought for me, and that's a major part of my problem - so simply telling myself "you are not <>", even if I don't feel that way, is a big step for me.

And for me, that would be a 'big fat no!'

I have finally decided that because I have such a hard time controlling my diet, I would instead up my physical activity level instead, as that's really the only other way (other than heroin) I know to lose weight.

So I play racquetball once a week, go hiking once a week and just bought a Wii fit to start doing that twice a week, giving me something physical to do at least every other day. For grins, I've started doing pushups every morning before I go to work as well.

Racquetball has been amazing and I feel like I sweat and burn more calories doing it than anything I've ever done, and it's hugely fun! I'm even going to enter my first raquetball tourney with my friend Bill later this month (novice division).

Backpacking has been great too at providing a high energy burn level. I've used the Wii Fit a couple of times, but we've been changing the house around so I need to get back at it ASAP.

Good luck!

I voted indifferent. I know I like my body, but yes I would like to lose weight some more as you well know. My goal is just to stay eating lean and work out even more then I have been doing. But to be truly successful, you have to love your body for what it is now as well as what you think it will become.
